The SEH UTN Manager is a software tool for managing the SEH USB device servers and dongle servers. This software in combination with a device or dongles server are a better choice when the native CITRIX USB redirection fails or simply is not available/supported.
This software tool is for installation on any virtualized workstation or server that needs to access a USB device that is hooked to an SEH dongle server.
The UTN Device Servers by SEH Computertechnik GmbH are all equipped with the UTN (USB-to-Network) functionality. This functionality -also known as "USB over IP" -allows the user to access USB devices (printers, hard disks, dongles, etc.) via a dedicted network protocol.

UTN Manager is a solution for CITRIX environments where the native CITRIX USB redirection is not available or does not function as desired. Though UTN Manager resides/functions outside the HDX environment it is a clear solution whenever the access to USB devices is a "must have".
Simply use the UTN Manager via -or even better -install it directly to the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, formerly XenApp and XenDesktop hosted VMs and become independend from any restirctions that may apply from your environments.
The SEH UTN Manager is a software tool for managing the SEH USB device servers and dongle servers. The SEH UTN Manager shows the availability of all SEH USB Device Servers and connected USB devices that exist in the network and establishes a connection between UTN clients and USB device.
In addition, the SEH UTN Manager supports the configuration of automated activation and deactivation of USB devices. It is also used for the administration of all the additional security features, such as restricting access to the USB ports (Port Access Control), encryption of the communication (SSL/TLS) or providing IP subgroups via VLAN.
The UTN Manager can be installed with and without a GUI. Minimal installation as a service without a GUI is a perfect choice for server invironments or for client desktops where user interaction is to be restricted.
