SEH Technology Inc. brings its new mobile printing solution, primos, to the US market. The new hardware makes it easy to print from an iOS device to any brand of printer using the corporate network while fulfilling the most stringent of safety standards. primos will save employees from lengthy configurations or complex tweaks prior to printing documents from their iPads and iPhones. This professional hardware solution from Germany will be available to US customers from late June. 

“Apple iOS devices have left the confines of the consumer market and gained a place in the corporate world; however, there has been a serious lag in integrating these devices into corporate IT,” says Mike Majewski, CEO at SEH Technology Inc. This has meant making complex tweaks to the corporate IT infrastructure to enable printing from an iPad or iPhone, and only with restrictions. This is why SEH has developed primos – a universal, mobile printing solution designed for professional enterprise use to allow for fast and intuitive printing.

“primos is ideal for any situation where employees use mobile iOS devices, for instance in hospitals, the design industry, or in construction,” says Majewski. Companies using the solution can use their existing printer pools without requiring any special AirPrint printers or desktop PCs to act as print servers. You will not need any complex configuration or the multitude of apps from printer OEMs either, according to Majewski – “primos gives you a complete all-in-one solution.” 

The primos hardware itself consists of a handy compact box that only needs to be connected to your corporate network. The system comes with a simple and intuitive user interface for maintenance and administration of shared printers, printer drivers, and authorizations. Employees can print not only from their own subnet but from other subnets, which comes in useful for employees posted to different locations where they might need to print a document.  

SEH has put great emphasis on security, data protection, and access authorization in this new all-in-one solution from Germany – any print job sent via primos stays inside the corporate network for local processing, with point-to-point encryption (P2PE) giving you additional security. You can also pre-define certain users and user groups.
