The SEH UTN Manager is a software tool that has been developed by SEH Computertechnik GmbH for the using the UTN functionality (USB to Network).

With the UTN functionality, users can access non-network-ready USB devices1. To do so, the USB devices are connected to the USB port of a UTN or INU server. Then a virtual USB connection between the USB device and client is created and managed by using the SEH UTN Manager.

The USB device can be used as if it were connected locally. A USB device that was made available by a UTN or INU server can only be used by one network participant at a time (point-to-point-connection).

The SEH UTN Manager has to be installed on all clients that are intended to access a USB device in the network.

Important:

This Online Help only describes how to work with the SEH UTN Manager.

Information on administrating UTN and INU servers can be found in the system-specific user manuals.
